Ashanti Shequoiya, also known as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She's an actress and singer who hails from in the United States. Ashanti's talent was first discovered when she was a teenager. She signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. The same year, she also included on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Both Fat Joe's What's Luv? Her hits include Foolish (number 1) and What's Luv! The first female artist to have both of the highest two positions on the The Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States With Foolish as number one, and then What's Love? Let's celebrate the special occasion by celebrating it together. Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York on October 13 1980. Tina Douglas' mother was teacher of dance, as was Ken-Kaide Douglas. The parent of Ashanti Douglas had been a vocalist. Kenashia Schia is Douglas's younger sister, is older. Douglas has named her Ashanti after Ghana's Ashanti Empire, where women held power and had an influence. Douglas wanted Ashanti to adopt this same model.
